We first met in 2017 at a church service in Rhode Island. Over the course of five years, we saw each other about every other year at church events there and Florida but never spoke. In 2022 during a church event in Rhode Island, I asked if a group of people would like to play the board game Clue. Of course, the real game was to get closer to Keiana because she sparked my interest. I lost the game and still have no idea how to play, but I won the real prize. ;) I justified my loss by saying it wasn't Bible trivia. Keiana went ahead and challenged me. I always said I would find my wife playing Bible trivia. After I barely won (Keiana wrote this sentence, can't you tell), she said "wow, I've met my match" and I made sure to confirm her name and spelling. When I got home, I was embarrassed to realize we had been Facebook friends since 2019. Within a week of officially meeting her, I shot my shot and sent her a message. To my surprise, she was expecting me to reach out (she admitted later) and was wondering why it took me so long. She said it was because of all the winks I gave her. As months went on, we got to know each other more and slowly but surely, we fell in love as we saw how much we complemented each other. Months after, I was down on one knee asking her to be my wife. So here we are, welcoming you all to be part of this journey. Thank you for all your love and support.
