IT'S HAPPENING!

Things always happen when you least expect it, right? What started out as a friendship grew into something more without either of us realizing it. Text and phone calls. Visits and Trips. They all helped us solidify that together is where we were ultimately meant to be. But it wasn't always like that. I (Keia) am always the first to admit that I didn't like David when I met him, though as he tells me I never like anyone when I meet them... He was bossy and a know-it-all. And after about... six years of knowing him, I can say that my assessment of him was 100% true. But I love him. Somewhere between all the nonsense of it all, I fell hard for that bossy man. And unfortunately, he is still usually, mostly right. We met online. Playing video games with friends. We met for the first time in person in August of 2015 while I was still in Nursing School. I was debating attending a Master's program in Maryland at the time, and he was kind enough to agree to let me stay with him for the weekend while I visited it, asked questions, and debated if that was the right path for me. Somewhere along the way, the path became clear, and I quickly found my "happy place". Oh, if only that poor man could realize what his kindness would bring. But it wasn't easy. And it wasn't clear that we were meant to end up together. It took a year after meeting before we finally starting actually dating, mostly because I upped and moved to Texas after graduation. But after we agreed, it was just... fun and exciting. It felt like home. As silly and cliché as it sounds. It felt meant to be.
