Come and join us on our next adventure

Jake and I had talked for months before we actually met one another. He came into my work with one of his friends to visit me, they sat at the bar, and I was instantly nervous. A few days later we went on our first date. I picked sushi, and Jake lied and said he liked sushi. He picked me up, told me he got his entire outfit from The Red, White and Blue (a local thrift store) for seven dollars, and I knew right then and there that this was going to be quite the adventure. We had reservations at Umi in Pittsburgh, and I was directing him there. Jokingly, I told him to go the wrong way, and he believed me. Don't worry, we still made it for our reservations on time. Umi's tables are lowered into the floor, and the seats are the floor surrounding the tables, which I thought was an interesting and creative design. When Jake went to sit down he practically fell through the table due to the interesting and creative design. We order about our body weight in sushi, talked for hours, and he took me home. I had never felt so at ease, and connected to someone so quickly before. He made me laugh like I hadn't laughed in years. I was grateful to find him then, and I'm still grateful to have him now. I can only imagine, and hope, that he feels the same about me. I just asked him. He does.
