FAQs

We know that there will be some questions leading up to our wedding. Hopefully this page will help to answer some of them. If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, feel free to reach out to us.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you send in your RSVP by September 20th. This will help us plan appropriately to ensure that there is enough to eat and drink for everyone. If you still need time to determine your plans, please reach out to us.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes we are! You can view our registry by clicking the Registry button right on this website.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You are more than welcome to bring a date if your invitation says "and guest." Otherwise, we respectfully ask that it is just you.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:00 P.M., but we recommend planning to arrive by 3:45 as you will have to park down by the zoo and then be transported to the treehouse via the zoo's funicular (a cable railway). You will likely have to wait a couple of minutes for the funicular to come and pick you up.

Will transportation be provided to and from the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation to and from the ceremony is not provided. However, parking is available at the venue, and there are sure to be plenty available Ubers or Lyfts in the area as well.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! You are free to use the parking lot for the John Ball Zoo. We recommend you use the smaller parking lot off Fulton street by the zoo's funicular (not the larger main parking lot), since transportation to the treehouse will be provided through the funicular. If this happens to be unavailable, shuttles will be ready to drive you to the treehouse. Keep your eyes out for Feinauer-Kosten wedding signs and staff to direct you to the funicular.

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes! We have a block of rooms at the J.W. Marriott in downtown Grand Rapids, as well as the Hampton Inn Grand Rapids - North. Please see the Lodging tab for more information. Make sure to use the unique links to take advantage of the discounted rate!

Is admission to the zoo included?

Answer

Unfortunately not. You will still have to pay admission if you would like to go to the zoo. We do, however, highly recommend it! Please visit the "Things To Do" page for a few other suggestions if you are looking to explore the area.
