Rachael and Greg met in 2012 at a pool in Denton, but it took them a while to come to their senses. It wasn’t until 2018 that the two began dating and quickly fell in love, but let’s get back to 2012 first. In the summer of 2012, Greg and Rachael both liked to soak up the sun and wound up at the same pool party over Memorial Day Weekend— Greg walked over to Rachael and her friend to offer them fireball shots and this is where their friendship began. Greg was a bartender at Lucky Lou’s, a bar Rachael was a regular at! Some may say she’d had her eye on Greg for a while! 😉 After officially meeting, the two became friends and Rachael would annoy him while he was behind the bar as often as she could. Since Denton can be a small town, they had several of the same friends. One of whom even tried to set them up on a blind date before knowing the two already knew each other. Shout out to Lindsey Dickey for knowing how great they’d be together long before they ever accepted this fact for themselves! Fast forward to 2018 when Rachael moved back to Denton and Greg asked her on their very first date, finally realizing how much they had in common— a love of beer, burgers, and working out (so that they can eat more burgers and drink more beer, obviously). Their first date went well, which of course lead to many more dates and the best relationship either of them have ever been in. Within a year of dating, Greg popped the first big question and asked Rachael to move in with him. They share a beautiful home together, and an even more beautiful fur baby— their sweet mini golden doodle and star of the family: Sophie. Greg keeps Rachael calm (not an easy feat), safe, and is her voice of reason. Rachael makes life exciting and keeps Greg on his toes— whether it be a party she’s planning, a date night, or a random piece of furniture she’s brought home for her next creative project that Greg loves getting roped into! The two keep each other laughing and Rachael is the best at getting Greg to crack a smile with her cheesy puns and “Rackee” face!
