Lucas and I shared an entire dorm suite our sophomore year and we've been roommates ever since. From all the countless hours we've spent tinkering with our fantasy football lineups to the days spent playing video games to the many miles we've driven on road trips together, every minute spent was with someone I consider one of my best friends and I can't imagine spending my big day without him by my side.

When my brother Joel told us he got a girlfriend, we were pumped for the potential to add another girl to the Gorveatte gang—and that was before we had any idea how funny Christie was and that she was a skilled vegan baker! My brothers really lucked out, y'all, and I'm happy to benefit by default.

Whatever algorithm our college used to match us together was spot-on. From randomly paired roommates our freshman year to this very day, Zack holds the title of being my "day one". As someone who knows me best by putting up with me over the years, he and I complement each other's personalities well. An unbelievable friend and someone who has been through the thick and the thin with me - I'm excited to have him with me in May.

Anna and I met our junior year at Indiana Wesleyan University. Because she lived across the hall from me, she was forced to be my friend. Then I forced her to work with me. Then I forced her to move to Grand Rapids and be my roommate. Now, I'm forcing her to be my bridesmaid! Thanks, Anna!

As one of my best friends who also welcomed me into his family as my second family away from home, David is truly like the brother I never had. From Thanksgiving dinners to trips up to his cottage on Lake Michigan to teaching me the ropes at the Big House, I credit most of my transformation to a "Michigander" to him. A friend that I can always count on, talk to, and hang out with - I'm thrilled to have him up there with me for my wedding.

When Paige became my RA in college, I never expected that she'd be standing with me on my big day. We've made it this far because Paige and I are masters at long-distance friendship. Sam doesn't even bother asking who I'm texting because it is literally always Paige. Now I'm so happy to have her with me as I get married IRL!

As one of the few people that I truly enjoy tearing up the dance floor up, Ben and I go way back in our friendship with a ton of memories created along the way. From road trips to different cities to having each other's backs in college to becoming one of my best friends over the years, this is someone that I know will give me that crucial pep talk on the big day and will continue to be by my side for the years to come.
