Neither Adam nor Rachael are Rochester natives yet it was at Northridge church in Rochester NY where their paths first crossed. Adam saw Rachael sitting on a couch in the welcome area at church awaiting a meeting regarding volunteering. He later told her he did a double take, and kept trying to make his way back to the welcome center. They didn't officially meet until a few months later, when Rachael walked into Adam's bible study. He kept trying to find excuses to talk to her but Rachael, thinking to herself "if I talk to this guy I'm definitely going to fall in love with him" made it her objective to avoid him. After several months of friendly chatting, they discovered they lived less then a block away from each other and decided they should explore their neighborhood together. Under the context of "neighbor night" they met for drinks at the Revelry, a cocktail bar across from Rachael's town home...and the rest is history...
Adam had been planning a big surprise for Rachael for their one year anniversary. He wouldn’t tell her anything about it (which was driving her nuts!) but waited until the night before to fill her in on the details. Adam explained that he had asked their close friends Meg and Drew, who also own and manage a photography company OhDavidsonCreative, to take photos of them for their anniversary! Rachael was beyond excited as she loves pictures, and started planning their outfits right away. The next morning, they arrived super early in Pittsford and spent about 10 minutes taking pictures along the canal where they trained for their half marathon together. It was freezing!!! Then Meg suggested they go up to a cute little green house to take some more pictures (this made Rachael super nervous, as she didn’t want to trespass, but little did she know that the trio had already gotten permission from the owners!). Adam took that moment to start reading a list to Rachael of all the things he loved about her. It was in reference to a list he had written years ago about qualities he wanted in his future wife. It took til about number seven until Rachael realized what the list was and what was happening! She was barely able to say yes she was so surprised!! They spent the morning celebrating with their friends and taking more pictures as their photo shoot had turned into an engagement shoot! We are so excited to share this next step with you! See y'all in Buffalo!
