We met in Raleigh, NC in 2019 and quickly became fast friends as if we'd known each other our whole lives. Not only did we enjoy each other's company, but we also gladly sought out opportunities to spend time together and help the other out. Sarah assisted in building a makeshift screened-in porch for Austin's apartment balcony (lots of Home Depot screening and a stapler gun included), and Austin didn't complain once while hauling Sarah's faux Christmas tree up three flights of stairs for the holidays. Once we made the realization which all of our friends already had --"wow, I love this person!" -- we moved ahead as a couple and never looked back. The year 2020 included a lot for us. We moved to Columbia, SC during the pandemic, Austin started his PhD program at The University of South Carolina, and Sarah landed her dream job with Lenovo. In 2021, Austin discovered his passion for smokin' meats and Sarah became a real LSU fan. Our friendship truly laid the foundation for our relationship and is the reason we operate well as partners and as a team. Life is always better when you can walk it with your best friend.
