We're eloping!

New York City, specifically Queens, is an incredibly important place to us and it marks the beginning chapter in our book of life. We met at a little bar in a little city called the Ditty in Astoria, NY. Keenan made the first move and describes seeing Andrea for the first time as though a beam of light fell from the ceiling and shone right on her (No whiskey was involved in the telling of this story). "She was glowing", he says. He spent the rest of the night trying to find a snippet of a moment to speak to her and bravely (Very brave and sober, good job Keenan) asked for her number. Andrea had never met someone from Ireland before and (embarrassingly) said he sounded like he was from Scotland (Keenan was not amused but she was too cute to be angry). She could not have been more wrong and she promises to never make that mistake again (Its a full Irish breakfast and Barry's tea household now). Keenan did not even last a full day - he made sure to text her the very next morning (He definitely didn't have the fear) . We went on our first date in Long Island City, NY and almost five years later, here we are living it up in our little world within the Big Banana (Big Apple <New York>). Everyday feels like the first day and every challenge is an invitation to know oneself and each other better. We can't wait for this next life step and are so excited for you all to celebrate with us.
