Join us for the big day!

Although I grew up in Kansas, and Stephen in Florida - fate brought us both to work at the same small animal clinic in Madison, MS during the summer of 2014. We spent nearly every day together, and as we got to know each other more, fell deeper in love.

At the end of summer 2014, we went on a road trip to Orlando, FL to visit the Universal Studios Amusement Park. On the way, we stopped at a small carnival (where I crushed Stephen in bumper boats) and stayed at a sketchy motel (luckily we didn’t get robbed). As the trip ended, I was flying back to Kansas and Stephen was moving on to West Palm Beach - vowing he would never end up in Kansas... little did he know...

By January 2015, we decided the long-distance was not for us, so Stephen was moving to Kansas. His very first day in the Midwest was a huge snowstorm - we were forced to get off the highway due to weather! Once we made it back to Manhattan, we did donuts in the parking lot, sliding through the snow!

On Memorial Day 2016, we were back in Mississippi with summer on the mind. It was a beautiful sunny day and I had been begging Stephen to take me to the Big Cypress Swamp all summer when he surprised me by taking me out. I was eagerly searching for wildlife - an alligator, snake, or even a turtle - when I turned around to find Stephen on one knee.

After I finally graduated in 2018 - our days in Manhattan, KS had come to an end and we had our sights set on sunshine! We spent a few weeks saying goodbye to the wide-open spaces, the fresh air, and the slow life - for the sunny, bustling lifestyle of central Florida - where we are now!

Today, Stephen and I are both working in beautiful Winter Park, FL. Stephen works for the Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Winter Park scheduling and assisting with community programs for the local parks. I am working as an Associate Veterinarian at Garden Veterinary Clinic. We love going to the beach on the weekend, riding our bikes on the numerous trails, and going to the amusement parks of Orlando.
