Hello friends! Thank you so much for joining us from afar! We wish we could celebrate with you but we hope you're staying safe with Covid and now Hurricane Delta headed our way. Please join us virtually Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at 4pm as we promise to love each other forever and all that mushy stuff. The following link should work, but if you miss it for any reason we'll have the recorded ceremony uploaded later. Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We hope to be able to celebrate with you safely and in person real soon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mco2JNCFrnI&feature=youtu.be

Love in the time of Covid - Virtual Wedding Update

With everything going on right now, we have made the decision to hold the wedding virtually. This is the best way to keep everyone safe and healthy. We'll be speaking with our videographer soon and he'll be able to tell us more about how you'll be able to watch the wedding as it happens. We really wished we could have shared this day with everyone in person, but we truly believe this is the best option at the moment. Please join us from the comfort of your homes, and thank you for celebrating with us!

Coffee, Tacos, and Music, Oh My!

Surprisingly, we met online and bonded over our jobs and our love for bad puns. We messaged each other back and forth for a few weeks before we finally met for coffee one Monday evening. Coffee turned into dinner, dinner turned into drinks, and 6 hours later we realized I had to be up for work the next day in just a few hours. We both decided we didn't want to wait to see each other again, so we grabbed lunch on Tuesday, then dinner on Wednesday, and by Thursday I was in love. I heard him play and sing and the rest was history.

Best Cup of Coffee I Ever Had

Somehow, among all the possible connections, in a sea of online profiles, we found each other. I never really knew how good a cup of coffee could be, much less a first, second and every consecutive date thereafter, until Keely. She shared her French (I'm still learning) and I shared my music. We bonded over the struggles that made us stronger, over the horrible jokes that made us laugh and I very quickly began to realize how loving and genuine she truly was. That's just the kind of thing you don't let go of.

The Proposal

After what felt like forever, I called Cory to let him know I would be home a little later than usual to take him to dinner for his birthday. I made a joke about him getting a proposal ready, and he gave some joke in response. When I got home, there were flower petals on the stairwell leading to our apartment - I opened the door to him on one knee in the room where we fell in love. I started crying and immediately thought he was playing a joke on me, but he assured me that this was it, and that he wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, and I knew wanted it, too.

Happy Birthday to me!

After seeing a concert in Texas, on a fold-out couch because I didn't read the AirB&B details close enough, we decided that getting married was the exactly what we wanted! We drafted up a timeline to help with the anxiety of "what should happen when" and basked in the joy of basically being engaged, but "basically" wasn't "actually" so we started saving up! I took as many gigs as I could and things were looking great, yet the impending uncertainty of when and where was becoming I bit too much for dear Keely. One night as we lay in bed, I reach back for a tissue and with this movement came a rush of both excitement and disappointment as, unfortunately, it was not an engagement ring. Prior to what will be known as the "tissue incident" I thought, "maybe wait for Christmas or take her to a concert" but once I saw those tears, I knew, this needs to happen now! Finally had enough money, knew what kind of ring she wanted and found our jeweler. After Keely overheard part of a phone call from the jeweler, the excitement mounted, though the ring still needed some adjustment to be just right. Again she waited, handling the anticipation as best she could. Finally the ring was perfected and all I needed was a time and place. In this case the sooner the better and what better time than my own birthday! Keely calls me on her way home from work and ends with something to the effect of "you could get that proposal ready" to which I replied, "I do what I want". Little did she know, I did have that proposal ready. Flower pedals were trailed up the stairs, leading to me with a carefully placed pillow under my knee. My heart raced as I waited at the window finally seeing her pull up. She opened the door, we locked eyes, she asked, "are you joking?" I shook my head and cue the waterworks! She made her way over to me, I spilled my guts, put on the ring and finally we were bound for what we already knew, that our love was true and unending. Best birthday ever!
