Austin's Rainey Street is a good time for tourists and locals alike. It's an an entire street filled with bars and food that are out of old houses. Bangers is great for food and Icenhauer's has great cocktails.
Sixth Street is distinctly Austin. With its colorful and bustling array of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues, it's a sure bet for experiencing local characters and the vibrancy of the city. With ACL this weekend every bar on 6th street will be having something going on.
Lady Bird Lake is great for a walk and has plenty of coffee shops near by
My favorite part of living in Austin was all the hiking they had available. I highly recommend going on this adventure and be sure to bring a bathing suit and shoes that you don't mind getting wet. You can definitely go for a swim.
This is my all time favorite hike. Andrew and I did it every time he came to visit.
This is known as the "hipster" part of Austin.
This has great shops for shopping and restaurants. This is is where out hotel (Lonestar Court) is located as well.
