We first met at Keelan's MoH's birthday party in 2019. Our mutual love of science, paired with the thunderstorm raging outdoors, got us talking the whole night long. Many niche mutual interests were discovered that night, and we both walked away with a newfound interest in each other. The next morning, while sitting together along with friends at a Sunday church service, Keelan pulled out her notebook, which Noah promptly recognized as one that he owned as well. On its cover were the words "It is written in the stars." At the time, Noah felt a strong conviction to stop dating for that season of his life and focus on God instead. So we waited, and 6 months later, on January 1st of 2020, we began dating. The majority of our relationship has been across state lines. From Keelan attending school in Daytona while Noah was in north Georgia, or Noah attending school in Auburn while Keelan was in Athens, all the way to now, with Noah over 1,000 miles away in Colorado, there have only been short periods during which we have had easy access to each other. Even so, the distance has never stopped us. It hasn't been easy for either of us to be so far apart, but the nickname we got early on in our relationship -- a mashup of both our names; Nokia (Noah + Kee = No-Kee-ah) -- has proven to be more true than we ever could have imagined. Like the famous running joke that Nokias are indestructible, so are we. We are so excited to get married, and to be able to celebrate with the people we love.
