We're getting married!

After her friends talked Rachel into joining the Upward app for days, she finally decided to give it a try. Thinking she had set her distance to 25 miles, she started talking to Andy. She remembers how much she enjoyed their conversations from the very beginning. After hours of chatting, it finally clicked that Andy was actually 250 miles away in Phoenix! He had known all along! Despite the distance, Andy insisted on pursuing things, and he decided to come to Las Vegas for their first date. They had tacos and Rachel’s favorite ice cream, Coffee Coffee Buzz Buzz Buzz, and she loved every moment of it. Andy remembers going back to the hotel feeling sad because he just wanted more time with her. The next morning, he woke up terrified, realizing that maybe, just maybe, Rachel could be his future wife. And he was right! After months of long-distance trips back and forth from Las Vegas to Phoenix, Rachel felt led, after a lot of prayer, to move to Phoenix to be with Andy. They cherish the memories they’ve made together and are excited for all the ones still to come. Andy proposed to Rachel on October 25th, exactly one year after their first date. When she saw flower petals leading up the stairs to his apartment, she just knew it was going to happen. What made the proposal even more special was that, after Andy proposed, he surprised Rachel with a dinner where they were joined by his family, her family, and friends. Rachel and Andy are both filled with excitement as they look forward to what the Lord has in store for the next chapter of their lives together.
