The Rookery is a landmark of Chicago’s rise from the ashes of the 1871 fire. It’s a pioneer of skyscraper engineering, a masterclass in design evolution (from Burnham & Root to Wright to Drummond), and a cherished historic treasure blending beauty, innovation, and modern sustainability. The Rookery is open to the public for touring Monday through Friday if you are in town and want to learn more about its unique history but we will have it all to ourselves on 3/21/26!
