It all began in Chicago on St. Patrick’s Day, 2021, because of course all great love stories begin with green beer and questionable fashion choices. Savannah had just accepted a job in Colorado and was preparing to move that summer. Savannah wasn’t looking to date anyone, but fate had other plans. That night, she went to a party with some mutual friends that happened to be at Keegan’s apartment. He asked her out, and she initially said no. After all, she was moving in just a few months. But something about their connection made her give him her number anyway. Later that week, Keegan texted Savannah and they met up for drinks. Four hours and two bottles of wine later, they both knew this was something special. That spring and summer, they made the most of their time in Chicago, eating, drinking, and adventuring their way through the city. In August 2021, Keegan invited Savannah to be his plus-one at a wedding. That weekend became the turning point, the moment we decided to give long distance a real shot and officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. As it turned out, Savannah wasn’t the only one encouraging Keegan to move to Colorado. A big part of his MSU fraternity already lived there, and they welcomed Savannah and Keegan with open arms and full social calendars. After a year of long-distance FaceTimes and frequent flyer miles, Keegan finally moved to Colorado in August 2022, moving in with his MSU friend, Dave. Thanks to Dave and Savannah, Keegan quickly fell for the mountains, breweries, and 300 days of sunshine. A year later, in August 2023, Keegan and Savannah moved in together. They kept building their life, making new friends, exploring new trails, and soaking in everything Colorado has to offer. In April 2024, they added Millie (the cutest golden retriever ever) to their little family. And in December 2024, they got engaged. What started as a chance encounter on a festive Chicago night has grown into a life full of love, laughter, and adventure, and we can't wait for what's next.
