He had just gotten back from a trip to Florida, and she had to work later that day. What could have been a standard first date that fizzles out was a multitopic, engaging conversation. They sat and chatted for hours upon hours. Both were asking, listening, and telling stories about themselves and the shared experiences they had. Bonding over similar manager trauma, athletic escapades, and a love for being outdoors. Many libations later, they were still staring at each other, engaged and fascinated. With time ticking and Lizzy having to go to work, they made immediate plans to see each other again.
