This will be my fourth year as a vendor at the Klamath Falls Farmers Market! Keegan was actually the one who encouraged me to pursue it, and it has turned into one of my favorite parts of summer. Through the market I’ve made so many friends and learned so much about running a small business. If you stop by, please say hello to Mr. Charli, the wonderful market manager!
At one point Keegan decided he wanted to run a marathon, so we “trained” for about a month. During that time I went on exactly six runs, and the Link River Trail was one of my favorite routes! It’s a beautiful walk along the water right near downtown and a great spot to enjoy the scenery.
Moore Park has some of the best views of Upper Klamath Lake. There’s so much space to explore, with lots of room to roam and plenty of hidden trails to discover. If you time it right in the early evening, you might even get to run through the sprinklers while they’re watering the grass!
If you have extra time, consider taking a drive to Crater Lake National Park, about an hour away. It’s one of Oregon’s most stunning natural landmarks and well worth the trip.
If you’re exploring the region or passing through Klamath, this popular brewery offers great food and a lively atmosphere.
Waffle Hut is a special place for us. Whenever Keegan leaves for a big military trip, we come here together so we can relax and spend a few extra minutes together before he goes. My go-to order is strawberry waffles with a side of tater tots and a Sprite!
Keegan and I recently got annual memberships to the Klamath County Museum and spent an afternoon exploring it together. It was fascinating learning more about the history of Klamath Falls and the local tribes. And as a bonus, there are also some very cool rocks that glow, which was definitely a highlight!
The Pikey is our favorite bar in town. They have the best fries and house-made ranch, and it’s always a fun place to hang out. The head bartender is Devin, who will also be bartending our wedding! His wife actually graduated with Keegan, which makes it even more special to have him involved in our big day.
Brevada is a great local spot for coffee, beer, and good vibes. It’s also owned and operated by Oregon Tech alumni, just like me, which makes it an extra special place to support while you’re in town. It’s a relaxed place to meet friends, grab a drink, or hang out downtown.
If you need a quick caffeine boost, you’ll find several Dutch Bros locations around town. It’s an Oregon classic and a fun stop for coffee, cold brews, or their signature energy drinks.
