HIKE: Jenkins Peak
3.4 miles, 587 ft of elevation gain, 1.5-2 hr hike: Jenkins Peak's summit offers great views of Mount Blue Sky and beyond. This hiking area was restored in 2025. The trail features a climb up a 70-stair staircase. The trail also crosses a small creek before heading to the summit. This particular variation of the hike takes you on the Catamount Trail to make a loop on your return trip. Heads up! The Catamount Trail section of this loop is a hiker-only trail.

On this route, you'll travel through open meadows and ponderosa pine forests. Expect to encounter others out there on this multi-use trail frequented by mountain bikers, hikers, runners, and dogs
