the dominos cascaded in a line

The Bride and Groom started off as co-workers. Working in the restaurant industry and having mutual friends, Keef and I always found ourselves around each other. Either seeing each other at social events, making taco lunch plans or going to get a drink and listen to live music at the local dive bar. We quickly became close friends. The story I tell is that I pursued Keefer, but I’m sure he would say differently. I made sure to keep in contact with Keefer after going back to school and making some life changes. He was always someone that made me feel better when having a bad day, listened if I needed to vent, told me the truth regardless of if I would like it, and always made sure I was okay after knowing I was upset. Keef can handle my “passionate” personality, calms me when I'm troubled and makes me want to be a better version of myself for not only me but him. After having Ollie Gunn our lives changed dramatically. Months after having a baby COVID hit and we were isolated and learning how to be new parents. Keefer and I learned a lot about each other and the little human we made during a very scary time to be alive. Buying a house and acquiring joint debt was also an experience. When Keefer proposed it was like an outer body experience. I could not believe that this man was getting on one knee asking me to be his wife, his forever and always. In shock, I ran around the beach and told every person I saw that I was ENGAGED! We celebrated with our close friends that weekend, July 2, 2022, still one of the best days and trips ever. Otto was our second surprise. Knowing that we were planning a wedding this could not have come at a better time…kidding. Postponing the wedding and preparing for another little boy to join the fun was in full swing and wedding planning came to a halt. Otto was the blessing I needed in my life during that point in time. Keefer was thrilled to add another Guilbault boy to the chaos. Our house will never be quiet again. After having babies, living through a pandemic, buying a house, going back to school, career changes and lots of lessons learned, we have finally made it to the anticipated union of Keefer and I, where we become one and start our MARRIED ERA!
