Doug and Keedra have known each other since high school in Dayton, OH! Although they went to two different high schools, their paths crossed often as they both ran track, had mutual friends, and at times found themselves hanging out together with the rest of their friends. But it wasn't until 21 years later that Doug made his feelings known. Years after reconnecting on Facebook like just about everyone else, Doug and Keedra began to play iPhone games, specifically (and coincidently) the game of pool. In between Keedra's competitive trash talk, Doug began to casually mention how he used to have a crush on her during high school. Shrugging it off, Keedra paid Doug no mind. Until months later and about three more times of making his high school feelings known, Keedra decided to pay some attention to what Doug was saying, and used his professions as an opportunity to see if there was something there. The first thing Keedra did was reach out to a few mutual friends to get their opinion on Doug. See, it had been years since they had actually been around each other. So Keedra wanted to get a feel for who he was today. Those mutual friends had great things to say about him so Keedra decided to proceed. The next thing Keedra did was begin to ask Doug random questions. Do you like dogs was the first question, because, well, if you know Keedra, then you know how she felt about her Bentley. She continued with asking Doug about his future, the things he wanted for himself, if he wanted children, how well he knew himself, if he had dealt with his childhood traumas....you know, the important stuff. All the while, Doug was thinking how random this was, but none the less, he answered them with no hesitations. After a good amount of probing, Keedra took his answers and prayed on them. The next day, which was Sunday August 8, 2021, in bewteen a pool game, Keedra said to Doug "I like the answers you gave to my questions. We're both grown, so there's no need to beat around the bush, do you want to be my man?" Doug answered with a "Hell Yeah!" Keedra felt like she needed hell yeah energy in her life, so the two became a couple. However, there was one stipulation. Keedra lived in Atlanta and Doug lived in Indianapolis. Keedra told Doug if this got serious she was not leaving Atlanta. Doug replied he understood, and it's said the next day he looked into how to transfer his job to Atlanta. Six months later, on February 25, 2022, Doug packed up his uhaul in the freezing cold and rain, and made his way down to Atlanta.
