Yes!! Drinks on us! Please be responsible but also have fun!
We DO NOT want anyone drinking and driving. We will have shuttles to pick you up from your hotel in the afternoon and shuttles to take you back to the hotel after the reception. Additionally, if you plan on driving to Windham Manor, we have a large parking lot available and you can leave your vehicles overnight at the venue and pick them up the next morning by 12:00 pm on Sunday, Aug 24.
Yes! We are asking our guests to dress up with us! For Saturday, the dress code is semi-formal. Attire for gentlemen may include a jacket and tie or a traditional suit. For women, floor-length dresses (preferably solid summer colors over patterned prints). Please no jeans or sneakers! Feel free to bring sunglasses for the ceremony. Also, we will supply small fans for the ceremony, and the reception will be air-conditioned -- feel free to remove jackets at any point if you're too warm. Our wedding will be intimate to be enjoyed with our closest friends & family. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you!
For the ceremony, sit wherever you please. We will carefully arrange tables so our guests are comfortable during the reception. We will have a seating chart out during cocktail hour so you can find your spot.
I don't think any of our guests have any little ones (yet). We have decided to keep our wedding weekend an adult-only event. If you have children (or fur babies), we encourage you to use this weekend as a fun getaway with your partner!
Please do your best to be on time! If you happen to be late for the ceremony, that is okay. We have listed on your invite 4 as our start time, but we will start promptly at 4:15 pm. So, we recommend you shoot for a 3:45-4:00 pm arrival so you have time to mingle, find a seat, grab a fan, and a program. After 4:15 you will be unable to attend the actual ceremony. This will be strictly enforced. You will still be allowed to attend the reception - we just want to minimize distractions during the ceremony. So, don't sweat it, hang out outside where we will have cocktail hour, and we will see you at the reception! Thank you so much for understanding.
We encourage taking the shuttles we're providing to travel to and from your hotel. If you prefer to drive yourself there is a spacious parking lot available at the venue.
We ask that you kindly put your phones away and on silent for an unplugged ceremony. We've hired a great photographer to capture our day and will absolutely share all those photos with you! Our ceremony will be very special and not too long, so we would love for everyone to be with us in this moment without any distractions. Please refrain from all electronics until cocktail hour.
For Friday night, we recommend wearing cocktail attire. Similar to what you'd wear on a dressy summer date night out. For women, this could look like a knee to ankle-length dress. And for men, collared shirts (no need for jackets).
