East Bayside Brew Hop!

East Bayside Brew Hop!

103 Fox St., Portland, ME 04101

Portland is home to 60+ breweries & distilleries (brag!) Get a taste for all the local delicacies by going on a brew hop in the East Bayside neighborhood. Start at Austin St. Brewers and Rising Tide Brewery on Fox St. Skip down to The Portland Zoo after - one of our favorite spots! Think boozy bungalow bar, NOT lions/tigers/bears(oh my). We did get sh*t on by a seagull mid-flight here once, but that hasn't stopped us from loving it and always ordering their iconic Portland Zoo Slushee. Get your ski-lodge vibes going down the street at Aprés for some delicious craft cocktails. Finish up the hill at Maine Craft Distilling, Hardshore Distilling, and/or Oxbow Blending & Brewing. Make sure to soak up all your boozy daytime fun with some decadent poutine (the food of Katie's people) at Duckfat right next to Oxbow!

Allagash Brewing Company (and more!)

Allagash Brewing Company (and more!)

50 Industrial Way, Portland, ME 04103

A short drive from downtown Old Port, but in an a brewery-centric industrial hub of it's own, Allagash is a must-visit! Get a tap room tour then celebrate with a fresh lobster roll or grilled cheese from their on-site food truck! Grab a flight of beer, get some merch or a 6-pack, or all 3; we support you, live your life. This *IS* Maine - the way life should be! While you're in this neighborhood, be sure to check out Foundation Brewing, Battery Steele Brewing, and Definitive Brewing - all a stone's throw from Allagash!

Ferry to Peaks Island

Ferry to Peaks Island

Portland, ME

Cross your fingers for beautiful weather because the best way to explore Maine is outside!! Take advantage of a nice day by taking the ferry out to Peaks Island. The trip there is less usually between 20-30 minutes. Once you're on the island, stop for lunch at Island Lobster Co. (in case you haven't indulged in enough seafood during your stay). Afterwards, rent golf carts or bikes and explore the rest of the island and all the scenery it has to offer!

Portland Head Light

Portland Head Light

1000 Shore Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107

I mean, did you even go to Maine if you didn't see THE Portland Head Light? The lighthouse is located at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth, a 13 minute drive 5 miles south of the Old Port. It's worth it. Give yourself time to walk around the whole park, read up on the history and significance of Fort Williams, and the infamous Christmas Eve shipwreck of the Annie C. Maguire in 1886 at the Portland Head (we're talkin' to you, history buffs!!!)

The Holy Donut

The Holy Donut

177 Commercial Street, Portland, ME 04101

Two words: Potato Donuts Several Locations. Aptly named. Superior. Never been done before. Treat yo'self.

Cocktail Crawl in The Old Port!

Cocktail Crawl in The Old Port!

Looking for specialty drinks after dinner? Check out one of our favorite dessert bars "Bar of Chocolate" on Wharf St. Katie's favorite is the Brandy Alexander (think elevated espresso martini) and Cam's is the Peanut Butter (think Reese's drank). You can't go wrong! Looking to enjoy some views of the water while you sip? Check out Luna Rooftop Bar for those vibes! If you're down for a cozy/moody spot for a craft nightcap, check out Blyth & Burrows. You'll feel sophisticated, like you're solving a mystery in the Clue study here. Highly recommend!

Bayside Bowl

Bayside Bowl

58 Alder Street, Portland, ME 04101

Spare time? Check out Bayside Bowl where you can play a string or two then grab some grub on the rooftop overlooking the Old Port!

Picnic on the Eastern Promenade

Picnic on the Eastern Promenade

Eastern Promenade, Portland, ME 04101

Take a walk along the scenic Eastern Prom trail and find the many food trucks parked at the trail-head! Grab some delicious Portland fare and have a picnic on the grassy hills overlooking the shoreline! One of our favorite food trucks that can normally be found there is Mr. Tuna!
