We both met through friends like many people do! We both had a crush on each other from the start, but neither of us said anything for some time. However, we always kept an eye on each other. Vanessa would come home from college and would purposely go to Lamppost Pizza, where Keaton worked, because she knew she would see him. Keaton would leave his shift to talk to Vanessa, and he would give her almost a 90% discount, every single time (no, he was not allowed to do that haha). He finally had the courage to ask her out on a date and the rest was history!

We have always enjoyed going to the mountains together ever since we started dating. Big Bear held our fondest memories as kids so we would often go and reminisce on our favorite memories as we built new ones. The weekend of our proposal was originally a quick getaway with each other and our Christmas present this year. We found a romantic and cozy cabin in between the trees and covered in snow. The first night there we spent laughing and relaxing while enjoying some wine & a delicious cheese board. It was in that moment, playing 80''s love songs, near the fire, with snow falling outside, that Keaton surprised me with a belated Christmas present- our napkin from our first years of dating that we wrote on, stating that we would get married one day & my beautiful engagement ring. Little did he know the way he proposed to me, was the same way my father professed his love to my mother for the first time. Meant to be!
