We’re getting married!

Around November of 2019, I (Kayla) started my new job at Sevier County Sheriffs Office. As I was being showed around the different divisions, I locked eyes with someone I thought I recognized in the courthouse. He had a freshly shaved head and someone I could tell that was new. He kept quite but gave me a cute smile as I went on my tour. That evening I sent my sister a text asking if she knew a Keaton Mayle, after doing my own investigation on that cute guys name that I saw earlier. My sister said yes! She worked with him at Food City. I thought I recognized his name because Kara always said if she had a baby boy that she’d name him Keaton. I told her I was gonna make that guy my “work husband”. She replied, “he should be your real husband”. And here we are - getting married. I got ahold of his phone number and he was actually trying to find a way to get ahold of my number as well. We hit it off from our first date to Dollywood. I was so nervous that I didn’t own any Carhartt clothing that I went out a day before our first date to buy a Carhartt jacket. And believe it or not, that was one of the first things he complimented me on. Even though we are both law enforcement officers, we have different goals. Since the time we met, Keaton has went on to Clinton Police Department while I have went on to the State’s Department of Children Services as an Investigator. We’ve learned from each other and have watched each other become better officers. We love hearing about each other’s days and how many bad guys we “law’d” during our shift. We are so looking forward to start our forever together and our BIG day!
