Kaitlin and Keaton met in high school! They were friends that hung out in the same friend group and eventually became closer and closer as time went on. Kaitlin was a senior and Keaton was a junior at the time. Eventually, Keaton asked Kaitlin on a date to a KU basketball game. Thus started the "spark" between them. Later that year, Keaton asked Kaitlin to go to a high school dance with him. They knew they always had something special between them, but Kaitlin was entering college soon so they remained friends as they both started college. They spoke off and on and reconnected during holiday and summer breaks from college. During Kaitlin's senior year of college and Keaton's junior year of college, they started messaging each other a lot more frequently. After messaging each other for a while, engaging in friendly and flirty conversation, Keaton, with some encouraging words given from his roommates, sent a message that forever changed their relationship. He asked Kaitlin to be his date to one of his best friend's brother's wedding. Kaitlin said yes and was immediately SO excited (just ask her friends that she was with at the time this happened). Keaton was playing college football at Ottawa University at the time and Kaitlin was studying dental hygiene in Manhattan, KS. When the time came, Kaitlin drove to Ottawa University one Saturday evening to meet Keaton to then drive to the wedding. After that night, everything seemed to click and they both knew they wanted to be together. After multiple weekends spent with one another, Keaton asked Kaitlin to be his girlfriend on November 30th 2019, and the rest is history! ;) Pictured below is their first date together at the KU basketball game!
