The Beggining

From School to Sundays

Keaton and I met in College in October of 2017 through some mutual friends and have honestly been inseparable since, and as cheesy as that sounds its true, we honestly didn't leave each other’s sides since the day we met. We spent so much time together that it was in January, we decided it was time to move in together and our lives have been moving forward ever since. Time came when we were both finishing up school for the semester and summer jobs were starting quick and our time together became a little less frequent. Keaton’s job took him on the road for days at a time but when Sunday would come around, he would always be home! It was nice to have our Sundays together, this was the day of the week where we would binge tv shows being lazy on the couch or spending time outside with ollie running around the dog park or venturing out on the trails. Sundays have since then been our day to have to ourselves and take time for each other!

The Engagement

From Sundays to Road Trips

During our second summer together, Keaton was back to working away from home, so we decided that we would take a road trip just before the school year would start. We decided it would be fun to drive out to the island and see some of the places that Keaton had travelled to on previous family summer vacations. Our Road trip took us from Sicamous to Salmon Arm, Kamloops, and then Tsawwassen where we caught the last ferry ride of the night over to Nanaimo. After taking a ferry to Nanaimo we drove to Ucluelet, followed by Tofino, Coombs, Parksville, and then back to Nanaimo where we took a ferry to Vancouver before our final stop in Revelstoke before heading home. Keaton had planned a few hikes on our first day on the island in Ucluelet where we could see some amazing views and beautiful forests. Ucluelet Lighthouse Loop was our first trail of the day. This trail led to the most picturesque lighthouse and views I have ever seen, so I had to take some photos. We found a path just off to the side with the lighthouse in the distance making for the perfect background. After setting up the camera we started taking some photos, and unknowingly to myself, Keaton had another reason as to why he wanted to set up the camera. He wasn’t just thinking of capturing the views, but he also wanted to capture this specific moment. And It was at this moment, that Keaton got down on one knee and proposed, asking if I would spend the rest of my life with him. I said YES instantly! This memory will always be one that I treasure. Not only for being the day that Keaton and I got engaged but also being the day we started our future together. This moment brought us both so much happiness and excitement. The feeling that I had this day is one I continue to have every day, knowing that we are in this together for the rest of our lives! It also turns out that the first day we spent on the island in Ucluelet was a Sunday. I have to say, it could not have been more fitting than to have the day Keaton asked if we could spend the rest of our lives together fall on a Sunday. But what could be more fitting? Having Sunday be the day we say I DO ...

For all the days along the way
