(Disclaimer from Emily: Greg wrote this. She's embarrassed about it) Our first meeting happened during our sophomore year of college, and was less of a slow motion rom-com moment ripped from Hollywood, and more like the streets of Philadelphia: empty and cold. A simple "hey" from Greg and an aloof head nod from Emily was all that was exchanged. While there wasn't a "spark" and there weren't any "butterflies," the meeting kick started a years-long friendship that helped build the foundation of the relationship we have today. After graduation, we both found ourselves in New York trying to establish our careers in advertising and design. We often found ourselves meeting up for a beer after work, or to give each other advice about an upcoming Tinder date (it was mostly Greg hyping up Emily for dates. No one ever swiped right on Greg). As the years of friendship went on, things started to shift. Before we knew it, friendly hangouts slowly progressed into dates, and Greg crashing on Emily's couch over the weekend turned into living together. We've known each other for ten years now and have experienced so much as a couple and with all of you. We can't wait for everyone to come together and celebrate.
