Growing up in our small town, Jonny and I surprisingly didn't meet until the ages of fourteen and sixteen. That day came when my best friend introduced me to her brother's best friend, who happened to be this really cute guy named Jonny. We then went throughout the next year knowing of each other and seeing each other here and there but never talking, until...
About a year later, mutual friends of ours would set up this outdoor volleyball net at the park and play once a week. I started attending with my sister and then Jonny showed up one day. We bonded over dumb jokes and a mutual love for volleyball. That one day, where we could hangout and play volleyball started to be the highlight of our week. We quickly realized that only seeing each other once a week wasn't going to cut it so we were hanging out almost every day after I got out of actual volleyball practice. He would pick me up without fail. Jonny and I tried to hide our feelings for each other and remained "Best friends" for almost four months. Then the wonderful day came where we were ready to commit to being more than friends and we started dating January 5th, 2018. Jonny then moved over to Seattle a few months later, starting our journey of long distance dating.
After enduring two and a half years of long distance dating, Jonny proposed on New Years Day at the beautiful Coeur d'Alene resort under all the Christmas lights. I then moved over to Seattle for college ten days later, ending our time being long distance. Jonny and I are now engaged, only 30 minutes apart instead of six hours, and are ready for forever to begin.
