The Raglands

Dairius and I met at a track meet early on in high school. We have known each other for about 13 years. I remember that day so vividly! Dairius was sitting around the first curve of the track, near where my team had all of our things at. Dairius simply asked for my number and I told him he better get away from our team tent because my coach would be mad! Well, he eventually got my number and we texted back and forth for what seemed like forever. We went to each others high school homecomings and spent a lot of time together throughout the years. I remember telling my mom "I am going to marry Dairius one day". What seemed like lust at the time, ended up being true love. Fast forward a few years, Dairius and I rekindled the flame in late 2022. He moved back to Ohio and lived only a few minutes from me. We spent multiple days together and caught up on our lives as adults. I remember, I was visiting one of my best friends, Tamara in North Carolina and on my drive back to Ohio, I stopped to see Dairius at one of his travel jobs in Kentucky. We stayed in a hotel and he decorated it all cute for me. He even brought me breakfast in bed and took me on a romantic date to Bojangles lol. It was around Christmas time and we also went to see the underground caverns and Christmas lights. It was so beautiful. All the time spent during the holidays felt like a Hallmark movie to me. I was falling in love. Dairius and I then spent more time together and started dating on February 10th, 2023 and eventually moved in together. We started traveling a lot and found that traveling is one of our most favorite things to do. We took multiple trips to Florida to visit family and even took a trip to The Bahamas. We got a dog together, Bruce. He is a Frenchie and Boston Terrier mix and we spend a lot of time playing with him and my dog, Koko. We love hosting cookouts with our family and often times just simply enjoy the small things like cooking together or catching up on our favorite shows. I love our journey so far and look forward to the years ahead with my lover, soulmate and my best friend.
