Flight
LAX is the largest airport near San Pedro and a 30-minute drive to the cruise terminal (traffic pending).
Flight
Long Beach Airport is smaller but closer to the cruise terminal. Without traffic, it's about a 20-minute drive.
Travel Note
Hitching a ride from the airport? Taxis are readily available on days when ships are embarking or disembarking passengers. A taxi between LAX and the World Cruise Center is roughly $80, and $30 between LGB and the terminal. Always double check Uber/Lyft prices as they are sometimes cheaper than taxiing!

Living within driving distance and traveling in a group? You can carpool and park in the cruise terminal for $17 per day (standard vehicles) or $32 per day (oversized vehicles).
Train
Amtrak Trains are always a great way to travel, especially if you are living in California. To travel by train, Disembark at Los Angeles Union Station to connect with a bus specifically for Amtrak customers that stops directly at Berth 95. Look for Thruway signs in the train station, past the baggage claim, to go to the Catalina Express Terminal. These buses run daily. The bus transfer fee is included in the rail fee. Depending on where you are training from, this could be anywhere from $16 to $40/person.
Travel Note
By taking the Metro's Silver Line to the last stop -- Pacific Coast Highway -- you can reach the port from many cities in Los Angeles County, such as Santa Monica, downtown LA or Hollywood. Metro Rail fares are $1.75 per trip. From the Pacific Coast Highway Metro stop, it's roughly 4 miles or an eight-minute taxi ride to the cruise terminal.
