How We Got To Here

May 2, 2009 to December 8, 2018

Chemistry class is a place for experiments and explosive reactions. Luckily for Drew, his biggest experiment eventually got the reaction he desired. After spending months pretending he enjoyed watching One Tree Hill every week, he mustered up the courage to emblaze Chloe’s Cherry Red “Sally” the Scion asking her to Prom. Their love story quickly took off as they learned they shared multiple interests and developed many more together. After a year of dating, two proms, and a couple of skipped classes, the adventure of college was too imminent. Drew was lucky enough that Chloe decided that staying in Arizona was a better option than BU (she will tell you it had nothing to do with him). The weekly drive up and down the I-10 became second nature to both, and the distance was more than worth it. Luckily Chloe’s lack of sport enthusiasm kept the rivalry from breaking the deal. Chloe went off to Fort Collins for Graduate School while Drew started an adventure in the Bay Area. That distance was more of a challenge but the short-term affection for cold and snow mixed well with Drew’s desire to visit every brewery within 100 miles of Fort Collins. The love story continued as Chloe moved to San Francisco where they moved in with 4 other guys and a large dog in what many would describe as a post-grad fraternity house. Chloe got tired of dirty toilet seats and the influx of recently graduated “bros” and they found their dream home in a 500 square foot studio; they haven’t left since. 4 years in their bungalow (which has fit a an impressive 5 visitors at once) have flown by as they learned adulthood and explored the world hand-in-hand. From Thailand to Dublin to Mexico to Florence and back again to Budapest, they explore near and far scouring for the best food and an even better drink.

The Proposal

December 8, 2018 to October 23, 2020

Everyone was in on it, except for Chloe. Her friends knew to turn down the Jello shots the night before, dearly beloved silently snuck into the city, and the ring hid feet from Chloe as she slept for months. The location is one of their favorite views just one miserably steep block from their studio. In the moment, his palms were sweaty, knees weak, no words came out of his mouth, but she knew what he meant, and that was all that mattered. She even asked, “what if you were proposing?”, and chuckled. She quickly swallowed her chuckle when she realized she was right, and if you haven’t seen the video, you’ve never seen a hungover person jump so high. The rest of the day was filled with loved ones, their favorite brewery in town, laughs, and smiles. All that know the relationship that Chloe and Drew, those four themes have always been consistent. It took many Instagram hours and one venue visit to find their spot. And in typical Chloe and Drew fashion, they were fine taking it slow and being Fiancés for 22 months. Why rush a good party? This has all lead them to now, where they solidify a commitment to each other for the rest of their lives. A commitment that is nothing new to anyone that knows them well. We look forward to celebrating our past and future with all of you!

For all the days along the way
