Keanan and I were both given the job of "Freshmen Program Coordinator" at Oviedo City Church. Never did I think that my co-laborer in Christ would someday become my husband and partner for life. Keanan and I began working together and it was hard deny that I found him pleasing to the eye ;) It was only after about 2 months of working together before Keanan asked me on a date. He had invited me to have Dr.Pepper floats one day before work and I could definitely tell we were moving to become more than just friends. After work that day, he took me to the top of a UCF parking garage and told me all the things he liked about me (which was a lot, obviously) and asked me on a date. I was quick to say yes and October 26th was not only when we had our first date, but also when I became a girlfriend (what can I say, it only took one for him to take me off the market). As I dated Keanan, I fell in love with his heart. He was tender and gentle, yet loved fiercely and passionately. I came to love not only his good, but all of his bad as well. Because even on his worst day, he pursues me. Keanan and I have walked through many seasons together. Some that were joyful and some that were hard. Yet through any season, I felt my love for him deepen and deepen. As we dated, he challenged me and my stubbornness. He pushed me outside of my comfort zone in order to grow and become more of the woman that God has designed me to be. Keanan taught me many things throughout our dating. I learned more about the NFL than I ever thought I would. I learned what a shiny Pokemon was. I learned how to make Asian food to satisfy his cravings. But most of all, I learned what it was like to be loved like Jesus loves us. Keanan's love has been steadfast, unwavering, faithful, kind, merciful, gentle, and so so so gracious. Learning this made me so sure of the fact that I would say yes to him forever.
