Isabelle was not as graceful as she once imagined herself to be in this moment...
Keagen and Isabelle have only ever known each other through the mouths of mutual friends. Never did they share a class or joined the same club or shared any similar hobbies that Stevenson was able to offer. Except one day, while Isabelle was meandering through a club fair, exploring several options to spend her infinite amount of free time, she heard, "Hey Isabelle!" There stood a boy next to a booth wearing skinny jeans, black Puma sneakers and a button down collared short sleeve business shirt. He had big brown eyes and a friendly smile. He looked as if they wore the same size clothes as her. In fact, she wondered if she could even fit into those jeans he wore. She remembered his face from a random follow request she received a couple of weeks prior. She tried desperately to remember the name attached to picture. Within a split second she remembered and replied, "Hi Keagen!" with a grin of familiarity. "Would you like to sign up for information on Enactus? You don't have to join or anything. We just need your name and email." "Sure, why not!" She signed her name and email and walked away proud of what she thought was incredible memory and perfect display of social niceties. Several months would pass and neither party would think anything of that moment or of each other. One night, Isabelle finally had the courage to socialize outside of her own dorm room, but not without her roommate Ashleigh of course, and there she meets, once again, the boy she had no idea would be her future husband. As the night went on, Keagen and Isabelle intermingled with their friends and with each other. Bouncing around each corner of this 800 sq ft college apartment. They played card games and underage drank and laughed and yelled. There were no coy smiles or flirtatious eye contact shared. No passing comments or playful nudges to each other. They were simply excited to be surrounded by friends. By the end of the night, Keagen had finally felt the pang of hunger. Or rather an intense urge to eat away the alcohol. He decided to indulge in none other than...."Hamburger Helpers." "What're you doing over there?" someone called from the living room floor. "Stroking my meat to some noods..." he replied with a sly grin as he stirred his ground beef and noodles into a perfect late night snack. The joke must've gone over everyone's head or perhaps... nobody found it funny... except Isabelle. Who for some reason thought, this was one of the funniest puns she has ever heard. She chuckled lighter than how the joke truly made her feel and looked around curious why she's the only one laughing, grinning ear to ear. She thought to herself, "HA! That was really funny... I like this guy..." Liking Keagen just so happens to be one of the quickest decisions she has ever made in her life. She asked him the only pick up line she had in her repertoire, "Hey...we should watch Game of Thrones some time!" Keagen, as a true contrarian, has once sworn that he would never watch Game of Thrones a day in his life. He has managed to avoid the show for six years through the height of its success and all. An achievement he was oddly proud of, an achievement he intended to keep for a very long time. "Yeah! For sure!" he responded, for there was nothing in his ego that would keep him from spending time with her... From that night on, there was not a day that went by where they didn't talk to each other in one way or another.
