When is the RSVP deadline?

We kindly ask you to RSVP by 25 May 2026 to ensure we have an accurate headcount. Please also ensure that you have selected a meal option for all guests that are attending.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 2:00pm. The recommended arrival time is from 1:30pm.

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, secure parking is available on-site at Epworth.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is smart. We’d love to see everyone dressed up for the occasion!

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be indoors. However, there will be drinks and canapés outdoors after the ceremony, so a jacket or wrap is recommended. Pietermaritzburg can get quite chilly once the sun goes down in winter.

What is the wedding colour palette?

Answer

Our wedding colour palette will feature shades of green, from soft sage to deep forest tones. Guests are welcome to wear any colours, but you may wish to avoid green if you’d prefer not to match the bridal party.

Can children attend the wedding?

Whilst we love your little ones, we kindly request that only children included on the invitation attend.

What should I do if I have a dietary restriction?

Please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Will there be alcohol at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, wine will be served at the reception. A cash bar will also be available for additional beverages.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We’ve decided to skip the traditional gift registry. If you’d like to give a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon and home renovation funds would be greatly appreciated - whether it goes towards paint or pinotage!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We would love for you to be fully present with us during the ceremony, so we kindly ask that phones and cameras are put away. We have a wonderful photographer capturing the day, and there will be a brief moment during the ceremony where guests are welcome to take a few photos.

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Yes - we hope you’ll join us (mainly Claire) on the dance floor!
