Evan and Kea met in the Dominican Republic while teaching at an international school in Punta Cana. They got along well from the jump, but initially spent time with each other in friend groups. Within a few months, though, they started seeing that flirty look in each other’s eyes. Their first kiss was VERY impromptu – it happened at one of their famous house parties in Punta Cana. Everything after that happened really fast. Soon they were planning a future together, going on international trips, and even job-searching together. That job hunt landed them in Dubai, where they currently live. So far they’ve been to 9 different countries together, and their honeymoon will make it 10!

Kea had no idea it was coming! Evan set up a whole fake background story as an excuse to get her dressed up and walking through Central Park. A group of Evan’s friends in New York City and Miami had been in on the plans from the beginning. Dorothy trailed behind to capture video of the moment when Kea realized what was happening. What was supposedly an outdoor “Teacher’s Awards Gala” in Central Park was actually a quiet, secluded picnic in front of a pond. A photographer was there to capture Evan dropping to one knee and popping the question. It was THE perfect moment – summertime in Central Park, sunlight beaming through the trees right as the couple turned the corner to reveal the picnic.
