All COVID precautions required by St. Paul's Church and the Windrift will be followed. At St. Paul's church, masks are required. Every other pew will be roped off to enforce social distancing. Guests are encouraged to sit 6ft apart; family members may sit together. Currently at the Windrift, masks are required except when eating or drinking. Tables will be spread apart to enforce social distancing. These are NJ state policies. If these change, the Windrift will also change its COVID policies. We will continue to monitor for changes and update our guests here. If restrictions lessen, Jake and Kim will not enforce mask wearing or social distancing. We will encourage dancing! We understand and will respect anyone's wishes to wear a mask and social distance at our event.
The reception is located on the second floor of the hotel. It is open only to wedding guests and has wide, open windows on both sides. One side opens to face the ocean; there is also a balcony. The windows on the other side open inland to the pool area. This makes the reception feel like an open-aired space.
Weather is unpredictable in Avalon in early May. The average high temperature is 65 degrees, but could be as low as 50. The water temperature will be around 54 degrees - some might say too cold for swimming.
During our wedding weekend, there is no public transportation to or on the island of Avalon/Stone Harbor. Ubers are available, but wait times are typically high during the off season.
Not all of our guests have "plus ones". When you RSVP on this website, it will indicate whether you can bring a guest or not. If you do not see a guest option, please just bring yourself and your dancing shoes. If you are unsure, please contact Kim or Jake.
We want our wedding to be adults only and for it to be your night off! Please leave your kids at home. Family members are the only exception, and will be named on the invitation.
Semi-formal, please. Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy pantsuits, or gowns or wear a suit of any color.
