What's the best way to get there?

Answer

Since we are right on the East River overlooking Gantry Park and NYC - the fireworks will quite literally be in our "backyard". That means a lot of people and vehicle traffic - and - Center Blvd will be closed to vehicle traffic. With that in mind - public transportation is always a best bet. - LIRR stops at Woodside; then 10 minute cab ride from there - 7 train stops at Vernon Blvd; then a 5-7 minute walk from there - G train stops at 21st / Van Alst; then a 5-7 minute walk - Uber/Juno/Cab to 5th Ave; then a 1-2 minute walk - NYC Ferry to either Hunters Point (then a 5 minute walk) OR Long Island City (then a 1 minute walk) IMPORTANT: Various map apps will put you on the corner of 47th ROAD and Center Blvd. However - we are in fact on 47th AVE and Center Blvd...just in front of the soccer field.
