It all started in 2020 with a Bumble match and a brunch at Tuttifrutti. KC took one look at Josh’s joggers and grey zip-up hoodie and immediately thought, “Nope.” But even if the spark wasn’t there yet, the friendship was. Over the years, they stayed connected Josh helping KC with assignments and hanging out to play video games once in a while. They were comfortable, familiar, and just… friends. Fast forward to 2023. After half a year of not speaking, KC messaged Josh to check in. They met for brunch at Monki, where KC wore a yellow t-shirt and black jumper skirt. Josh remembers thinking she looked adorable“like a bumblebee.” Something shifted. A simple brunch sparked something new, and on June 25, 2023, they officially became a couple. Their journey hasn’t always been easy different cultures, different upbringings, and plenty of growing pains but they learned, grew, and chose each other again and again. Who knew the “guy best friend” KC once saw as just a dependable buddy would be the one? On January 1, 2025, just as the New Year began, Josh asked KC to marry him. It took KC a few months to process everything, but today they stand together ready, excited, and counting down the days until they tie their forever. She found her prince charming, and he found his home. Their love didn’t begin with fireworks, but with friendship, growth, and choosing each other over and over again. And sometimes, love finds you quietly right when you least expect it.
