We went on our first date on July 3rd, 2021. We drank margarita's at Ludlow’s and talked about all the things we had in common. A week later Chris made a playlist for me appropriately named “Ice Cream Princess” It was as if he'd known me all my life. Six months later I accidentally said “I love you” at the end of our nightly FaceTime. Chris saw the panic in my eyes as I realized what I had said. In his sweetest voice he uttered a soft “oh!” to which I promptly ended the call. But the following night I admitted that, although it was an accident, it was true. And then, on purpose, I said “I love you” and he said it back.

On October 17th, 2024 Chris proposed outside of Rockwell's, our favorite neighborhood restaurant. It was a perfect moment and an easy yes! Rockwell's shall forever be remembered as our engagement spot (and also where you can get the best Shrimp Po' Boy on the North Side, just sayin')

We've decided to get married on August 23, 2025. We'll be having an intimate ceremony and dinner with our immediate families. We've asked Meg to officiate. Our parents and sisters will each give a short speech and my dad will perform a song (he's been practicing since January). A small wedding feels right for us, but it wasn't an easy decision. We love you and want you to know that your love and support mean everything to us. We can't wait to share all the photos and videos with you.
