We met through online dating - just when we were both about to give up on the whole idea - we saw each other's profiles, struck up a conversation, exchanged a few messages. We decided to meet up for dinner after talking for a few days. We had such natural and genuine conversation at Chili's that night. It was easy to know that we both wanted to see each other again!

Although 2020 has been a year of unexpected changes in the world, we are so blessed to have met each other and to have found this once in a lifetime love! On a brisk and beautiful night in November, we came back to Charlie's house after picking up some Thai food takeout. We stood in the driveway for a bit before going inside - just enjoying each other's company and the beautiful night God created. Then, without warning, Charlie pulled a small box from his coat pocket and knelt down all in one swift move. The moment was a blur! So beautiful and simple and perfect! "Katie, will you marry me?" followed by an ecstatic, "Yes, yes of course!" After eating our dinner and staring at the gorgeous ring and just reveling in the moment, we finally called friends and family that night. It was so magical and amazing! Since then, we've been enjoying the celebrations and joy that have come with sharing our happy news and planning our wedding and future together!
