Emily strolled up to Lesley on the first day of high school orientation, proudly wearing a Hanson t-shirt (weird flex). They became BFFs in the hallowed space of morning carpool, and have been full steam ahead on friendship ever since. Lesley worships the ground Emily walks on, and is so grateful she’s been just a quick train ride away for the better part of the last five years.
Mike Magliaro
Best Man
Mike and Kevin met the summer before fourth grade and have been best friends for 21 years. The biggest challenge to the friendship came in fifth grade, when Mike joined the safety patrol. To date, that's still the lamest thing he's ever done.
Loren Crosier

Lesley thought Loren was a sophomore for most of freshman year because she seemed super aloof and pulled together. Then Loren got a perm and that whole jig was up. Loren and Lesley have supported each other through countless questionable style and life choices. Lesley is probably inviting herself over to Loren’s right now.
Ryan O'Connell

Kevin and Ryan became best friends in Mrs. Weistuch's fourth grade class. When they would get in trouble, she would make them write their preassigned numbers (Kevin was number 2 and Ryan was number 15) on the chalk board. The punishment was not an effective deterrent.

Ask anyone and they’ll tell you: Kate is literally the most perfect angel on the entire planet. Lesley knew she wanted to be friends with Kate the moment she met her, and they chartered a path to being besties while almost failing physics AND obsessing over Beyoncé. Impressive!
Conor Boyland

Classic older/younger brother situation: Kevin spent high school looking up to Conor and doing the exact same things he did, with greater freedom and fewer rules. Given the right angle and length of beard, they look identical.
Justine Orrall

Lesley was sort of intimidated by Justine until Justine showed her true colors by ordering a hot fudge sundae for dinner the first time they hung out. Their friendship was solidified soon after when Justine let Lesley move into her house. Justine and Lesley have probably spent around 480 hours texting about the clothes they want to buy.
Sean Kelly

Kevin and Sean's friendship started all the way back in elementary school and has carried through middle school, high school, college together at UMD and after. When you hear Sean's maniacal, high-pitched laugh you know that (a) you'r'e having a great time and (b) something mischievous is afoot.

Lesley can’t remember life without Cari, who—heads up—is probably the most naturally cool person you will ever meet in real life. They've lived every phase of life together and have gotten into (and out of) extremely mild amounts of trouble across most states south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Kevin and Dave also go back to elementary school, but the clearest memories of their friendship (for Kevin - Dave doesn't remember high school) start in high school AP Physics. So much learning went down in that class, it was crazy. They carried that work ethic with them to college together at UMD.

By some miracle, Liz and Lesley found themselves working with each other during their first couple of months living in NYC. They became the fastest friends in the history of friendship, bolstered by a shared ambition to squeeze a lot of fun out of life and a strange fascination with the rat culture of the Lower East Side.

Kevin and William started at the NY Fed together in 2015 and shared a cubicle and a boss for about a month. A few nights out in Williamsburg confirmed that they had quite a bit in common, and they've been friends ever since.

Nikki and Lesley were paired up at Lesley’s first job in New York. Lesley was 100% clueless about what exactly she’d been hired to do, and Nikki’s kindness and sense of humor not only helped her orient herself, but made New York feel like a good decision that was worth seeing through.

Kevin and Austen's friendship blossomed at Kevin's first job in Los Angeles. Highlights include weekly Friday beer lunches, the occasional non-Friday beer lunch, and a trip to the 2012 River Regatta in pristine Laughlin, NV.
