Flight
Getting to Somerville from the airport: Driving Boston Logan is a convenient 15-20 min Uber or Lyft ride to the Somerville area. Depending on the time of day, you should expect to pay about $20 to or from Somerville and the airport. Cabs are also available but not recommended, as they can cost around $10 more than an Uber or Lyft. Train/Subway The local subway (known as the T) regularly picks up at every terminal, and it's free when leaving the airport! The Silver line (which is a hybrid bus) is the only line/color to pick up at the airport. The Silver line will take you to South Station where you can connect to the Red line for Somerville transit. Depending on the day/time and traffic, it could take as long as an hour to get to Somerville via the T.
Rental Car
We highly suggest NOT getting a rental car as the Boston area is easily accessible by T and/or Uber/Lyft. Also, is it an absolute nightmare driving and parking in the Boston area :). There are, however, several rental car options in Somerville for those wanting to expand their vacation with a road trip around New England, for example.
Hotel
Brian and I will be staying at our apartment and getting ready at home and/or a nearby Airbnb. That being said, we have chosen not to get a hotel block. Here are just a few of the nearby options: Holiday Inn Boston Bunker Hill Area https://www.ihg.com/holidayinn/hotels/us/en/somerville/bossv/hoteldetail?cm_mmc=YextLocal-_-HI-_-US-_-BOSSV Porter Square Hotel http://www.theportersquarehotel.com/ The Charles Hotel https://www.charleshotel.com/
House Or Rental
There are plenty of Airbnb and VRBO options in the Somerville/Cambridge area! Again, just an FYI, Brian and I will be staying at our apartment and getting ready at home and/or a nearby Airbnb.
