Stay on NY-23 until you reach Windham. The total driving distance is about 64 miles (103 km) and typically takes over 1 hour. ✈️ From JFK Airport Approx. 2 hours 45 minutes Get on I-678 N (Van Wyck Expressway) toward the Bronx. Merge onto I-87 N (New York State Thruway) via the Whitestone Bridge. Stay on I-87 N for ~100 miles. Take Exit 21 (Catskill/Cairo). Follow Route 23 West toward Windham (~25 miles). Windham is right off Route 23—Main Street will take you into town. ✈️ From LaGuardia Airport (LGA) Approx. 2 hours 45 minutes Take Grand Central Parkway to I-278 E (BQE) toward the Triborough Bridge. Merge onto I-87 N (New York State Thruway) and follow directions as above from JFK. ✈️ From Newark Liberty International (EWR) Approx. 2.5–3 hours – 145 miles Take I-78 E briefly, then merge onto I-95 N (NJ Turnpike). Cross the George Washington Bridge into NYC. Merge onto I-87 N (New York State Thruway) and follow the same route as above.
