Kaz and Ryan first met when Kaz's family moved right across the street from Ryan's family circa the 4th grade. They were friends but not super close cause Ryan was a bit of a troublemaker and Kaz stuck to the rules. After losing touch when Ryan's family moved away in high school, it wasn't until Kaz started hanging out with Ryan's brother Trent one summer that they realized they had feelings for each other.
