We're getting married

It all began on a sunny Sunday after church in 2017, when Olatunde introduced himself to my sister and I . Since it was our first time at that church, I didn’t pay much attention to him amidst the many new faces. Unknowingly, Olatunde had been trying to get my attention for months. Despite Olatunde’s efforts to catch my attention over the next few months, I barely remembered him. After several attempts, he managed to visit our home, where he became friends with my sister, using every opportunity to see me. What started as weekly visits soon became daily ones, until Olatunde finally got my attention. Over time, he asked me to be his best friend, and we shared seven wonderful years of friendship filled with laughter, growth, and life’s ups and downs. One Sunday after church, he asked me to be his girlfriend, our journey has led us to this special moment, and we couldn't be happier.

After seven years of being best friends and about eight months into our relationship, Olatunde planned a day that would change our lives forever. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and we were out on one of our regular monthly dates. Little did I know, this day was going to be far more special than I could have imagined. As we enjoyed the day together, I noticed that Olatunde seemed a bit more nervous than usual. After our date, we drove to a lakeside spot where we went to relax and talk. Unknown to me, this lakeside stroll was just a decoy to buy some time. When we finally left, I was ready to head home, but Olatunde suggested we stop by his place so he could quickly grab something. When we arrived at his place, I was met with the most beautiful surprise—there was a heartfelt setup with the words "MARRY ME." Olatunde then got down on one knee, pulled out a ring, and asked me to spend forever with him. Overwhelmed with joy and love, I said yes, knowing that this was the moment our journey had come full circle. We celebrated the proposal with a small gathering of close friends and family, making it a day we will cherish forever. It was a beautiful reminder of our enduring love and the exciting adventures that lie ahead.
