There are a couple of ways to get to the area, depending on your preferences and travel plans. 🚗 Hiring a Car Hiring a car is the easiest and most flexible option. Melbourne Airport offers a range of rental services, and the drive to the region takes just over an hour. 🚌 Public Transport If hiring a car isn’t an option, public transport is available: You can head into Melbourne CBD and make your way to Southern Cross Station, where you can catch a V/Line service towards Kyneton or Daylesford (whichever is closest to your accommodation). The service typically includes a train to Woodend, followed by a connecting coach. Alternatively, you can travel to Sunbury Station and catch a direct V/Line train, with a connecting coach service to the region. Our wedding will be an outdoor garden party, and we’d love for you to dress in semi-formal attire. As the ceremony and parts of the reception will take place on grass, we recommend comfortable footwear suitable for outdoor terrain (think block heels, micro heels, wedges, or dressy flats). We’re getting married in summer, so there’s a chance it could be a warm day please dress accordingly and stay cool! That said, the evening might bring a chill, so we suggest bringing a light jacket or wrap just in case.
The ceremony & reception will be held outdoors, Dancing later on in the night will be indoors. To help everyone stay comfortable, there will be plenty of shade, umbrellas, handheld fans, and parasols available.
