Who knew a last minute work assignment in another town would lead to a friendship that turned into a lifelong love? On December 24th of 2017 Kaysay’s District Manager at Marco’s Pizza asked her to come to Effingham to assist another store. When she walked in the door there stood Nate at the cut table, he immediately began barking orders at Kaysay like she was a driver and not his peer… if you know Kaysay that did not go well. From that moment on they became best friends. After 7 years of phone calls, texts, & snapchats they found themselves single at the same time, which led to Nate’s mom making the joke of if the two of them would finally start dating. Knowing those two it comes as no surprise that they took a full year to finally start dating in March of 2025. Nate knew he wanted to spend forever with Kaysay and the two were engaged shortly after on December 24th of 2025- exactly 8 years after meeting each other. They look forward to celebrating their union with all of their chosen family & friends almost 10 years after meeting each other.
