We met in 2022 at Sutter Center for Psychiatry, where busy days and a shared purpose quietly set the stage for something special. By spring of 2023, fate got a little help from a friend—our coworker Anthony. He’d tell Raehan about Kaylynn, then tell Kaylynn about Raehan, convinced we’d be a perfect match. As it turns out… he was right. A group night out to an Afrobeats party at Esther Park in Sacramento was the spark we didn’t know we were waiting for. We danced, laughed, and ended the evening at a local dive bar with friends—one of those nights that feels effortless and unforgettable. Soon after, Raehan reached out and asked if he could take Kaylynn on a date. On June 26, 2023, we had our first date at Echo & Rig. From the very beginning, conversation came easily. We discovered shared values, similar quirks, and a chemistry that felt natural—like we’d known each other far longer than a single evening. It was simple, genuine, and right. Being together just made sense. A few months later, on September 8, 2023, while we were on vacation in Hawaii, Raehan asked Kaylynn to be his girlfriend. That moment became the start of so many more: traveling side by side, trying new foods, spending time with family and friends, and growing deeper roots together. Two years of love and laughter led to August 8, 2025, when—surrounded by our immediate family on the beach in Monterey—Raehan got down on one knee and asked Kaylynn to marry him. She said yes, to a lifetime of partnership, adventure, and home in each other. We’re so grateful for the path that brought us here—and for the loved ones who cheered us on along the way.
