You never know how much a decision will influence the rest of your life. I never imagined that choosing to work at a little ski shop in Squaw would lead me to the man I would marry. When I met Jesse, I knew he was trouble. He was constantly cracking jokes, always making people smile, and boy was he a flirt! However, his heart was pure. All he ever wanted was to make people happy, and at some point we became close friends, and then more. I have never been with someone who strives to make me smile every minute of every day. The second best decision I ever made was to work at Squaw... and the best decision I ever made was saying yes to him on a boat in the middle of Tahoe during a remarkable sunset. Now I can't wait to say "I do" on a beautiful beach in Hawaii during what will be, undoubtedly, a sunset to remember. Love comes at you fast. In our case, it came at a time when neither of us were looking for love at all. I had just received a promotion at work and was told I was to begin taking over the Managers position and training all the new employees. Little did I know that we hired a girl from Reno looking for a new start in a new place. When I inquired about the new girl I was to train, I got a stern look and was told “Don't even think about it!” I laughed and shrugged it aside because I had no plans on falling in love with this girl. As the season went on, we grew closer in the shop and would keep each other company on the slower days. Our friendship grew strong and it wasn’t long before we were inseparable. You never know when destiny will find you. I cannot believe I found someone that I want to spend the rest of my life with, that makes me feel happier than I have ever felt before.
